Worked at the Buzzi Unicem Cement Plant part time during the summer of 2007

Ran my own lawn mowing business from 2004-2007.

Interests and activities

Football, Baseball, Science Club V/P, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Media, Head Editor for school TV Channel, Yearbook, Yearbook Cover Designer, Renaissance, Entrepreneurship, First Leadership Independence, First United Methodist Church Youth Council Member, First United Methodist Church Executive Board Member, Youth Group, Student Council, and Sunday School.

Volunteer experience

Heartland Share distribution, church auction, various mission trips, putting up American Flags in the cemetery for Memorial Day, read to homeless children in Kansas City, helped raise money for the Imagination Library, Jr. Class fundraisers for Prom, filmed and interviewed playwrights at the William Inge Festival, picked up trash along the streets of Independence, worked the spotlight and house lights for school plays,  purchased bicycles for kids who are in foster care at Christmas, helped build the stage for Neewollah Street Acts, helped my Dad with coaching my brother’s baseball team and helped raise money for the family of a 9/11 victim.

Awards received

Football letter winner, Baseball letter winner, Academic letter winner, Renaissance recipient, Who’s Who of American High School Students, National Honor Roll, all A Honor Roll, Best Salesman Scholarship winner, Football Coaches Award, Neewollah Stage Escort, Kansas Babe Ruth Baseball State Tournament Participant (twice), Kansas Babe Ruth District Tournament Most Valuable Player and National Honor Society.
